This day-long workshop will introduce you to the basics of machine knitting in the morning, and level up to using punch-cards and knitting your own scarf in the afternoon, perfect for the absolute beginner.
This workshop will be taught using a Brother KH881 knitting machine but most information will translate to a variety of makes and models of knitting machine. I will take you from threading-up to knitting swatches, striping and casting-off in the morning, followed by using the punch-card function and knitting your own scarf!
At the end of the workshop you will have a good working knowledge of the basic functions of your knitting machine and you will be able to cast on, knit stripes, use a punch-card, calculate from swatch to finished piece and cast off!
